This compilation is for all the Moms (and Dads) that have been lost to cancer. All proceeds from this compilation go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The original idea for this comp last year was to find a way to honor my mom who passed from cancer and see if I could get some musicians to cover a song their mom would like and raise some money for charity along the way. Turned out that a lot of people were also looking for a way to remember someone they’ve lost to cancer. It was a truly incredible experience hearing from so many people how much Volume 1 meant to them and seeing how far it spread thanks to all the donations and shares. […]

eines gleich vorweg. ich habe keine idee, wie ich dieses album angemessen beschreiben soll, ausser vielleicht so: das ist ein richtig gutes album, das ich der geneigten leserschaft wirklich dringend ans herz legen möchte.

düster-mechanisch-kalter noise-rock-industrial, aber immer mit dieser angenehm lässigen slowdive-shoegaze-atmosphäre, nicht mit der unbändigen nine-inch-nails-wut. zwischendrin popmusik, triphop, ambient mit viel rhythmus – und diese wundervolle stimme.

einigen wir uns einfach darauf: es ist grossartiges album.

die beiden vorab veröffentlichten tracks haben schon angedeutet, dass auch das aktuelle ein ganz feines album werden würde. wem begriffe wie industrial, electronic metal, synthwave oder chiptune ein lächeln ins gesicht zaubern, der sollte hier unbedingt reinhören.

die älteren werden sich erinnern: vor dem grossen-crash-von-einundzwanzig™ gab es bereits eine lobhudelei zu diesem album, denn es ist vermutlich das von mir am häufigsten durchgehörte. es ist vielleicht nicht die beste platte aller zeiten und vielleicht auch nicht die zweitbeste, aber es ist ohne frage das einzig wahre, das beste aller küchen-alben. auch heute noch. >>>
