Shot on vivid 16mm film over a three-year period, ANONYMOUS CLUB chronicles notoriously shy, Melbourne-based musician Courtney Barnett’s ups and downs on the world tour for her album Tell Me How You Really Feel. Featuring Barnett’s unguarded narration from her audio diary, recorded on an dictaphone provided by filmmaker Danny Cohen, the film delivers frank and unprecedented insight into Barnett’s creative process, the sacrifices and inner conflicts set in motion by fame, and the sometimes dark backdrop to her whimsical, relatably poetic compositions.

Anfang 2020 tauchte eine Sammlung von 16mm-Filmen im Archiv des legendären Künstlers Tom Petty auf. Gedreht während einer fruchtbaren Songwriting-Episode seines Lebens, in der er „“Wildflowers““ als Doppelalbum herausbringen wollte. Tom Petty war bekannt dafür, sein Privatleben und kreative Prozesse vor der Öffentlichkeit verborgen zu halten. „“Somewhere You Feel Free““ gibt 90min lang Einblicke in Toms ehrliche und musikalisch reiche Welt zur der Zeit, in der das erste Album in Zusammenarbeit mit dem legendärem Produzentem Rick Rubin entstand. Nie gesehenes Filmmaterial und Augenzeugenberichte Mitwirkender beleuchten die Entstehung von Toms Lieblingsalbum Wildflowers.
