vor vielen monaten haben wir uns karten für die buffalo bill in rom tour gegönnt und heute ist es nun endlich soweit – was würde da besser passen als ein klassiker der besten band der welt.
das erstaunliche an diesem grossartigen song ist, dass er nie auf einem der studio-alben erschienen ist, sondern lediglich als b-seite der single wie es geht veröffentlicht wurde – damals im jahr zweitausend, als es noch sowas wie singles gab … viel spass.

This compilation is for all the Moms (and Dads) that have been lost to cancer. All proceeds from this compilation go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The original idea for this comp last year was to find a way to honor my mom who passed from cancer and see if I could get some musicians to cover a song their mom would like and raise some money for charity along the way. Turned out that a lot of people were also looking for a way to remember someone they’ve lost to cancer. It was a truly incredible experience hearing from so many people how much Volume 1 meant to them and seeing how far it spread thanks to all the donations and shares. […]

om zum grusse und willkommen zur fünfzehnten ausgabe unserer lieblingsongs, mit denen wir euch führderhin regelmäßig zu beglücken gedenken.

für mich steht völlig ausser frage, dass roots das beste album ist, das sepultura je aufgenommen haben – mit einem titeltrack, der bis heute seinesgleichen sucht.
der sieben jahre ältere song inner self jedoch gefällt mir sogar fast noch einen tacken besser … vielleicht weil ich mich auch heute noch sehr gut daran erinnern kann, wie beeindruckt ich war, als ich ihn zum ersten mal gehört habe – vor inzwischen dreiundreissig jahren. viel spass.
